Join Our Meat CSA

Join our CSA community by purchasing the local meat CSA share that is right for you. You can choose to pay all at once or in monthly installments.

Pickup your share of quality, grass fed and pasture raised meat on the scheduled date and location and enjoy!

This is a true CSA

Each month you will receive a share of meat that has been harvested. As always, our meat is delivered frozen with each cut individually wrapped and labeled. The packaging will allow it to stay in the freezer for at least a year, so don’t worry if you don’t think you can gobble up the full installment before you receive the next one.

Winter Shares

November - April

Order 6 month CSA, pay in full and receive $50 off!

Order 3 month CSA and receive $25 off!  Offer ends October 15th

FULL SHARE MEAT CSA: One installment (20-22 pounds) every month for 6 months.

HALF SHARE MEAT CSA: One installment (20-22 pounds) every other month (November, January, March), 3 installments total.

Variety Meat CSA

Each installment is 20-22 pounds of meat & will usually include the following:


  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2-3 packages of chicken retail cuts (breasts, thighs, legs, etc.)
  • 1 beef roast and/or pork roast
  • 1 package of pork chops
  • 1 package of beef steak
  • 3 pounds ground beef
  • 2 pounds sausage (breakfast and/or specialty)
  • Additional cuts

Pork Free CSA

Each installment is 20-22 pounds of meat & will typically include the following:


  • 2 whole chickens
  • 1 beef roast
  • 4 pounds ground beef
  • 1 pound beef sausage (breakfast)
  • 1 package of beef steaks
  • 1 package of premium chicken product
  • May rarely also contain lamb products
  • Additional cuts

Common Questions

Installments will vary from month to month, depending upon what we have harvested. Generally speaking, each month will contain ground beef, sausage or ground pork and whole chicken. We do our best to include a roast in each installment PLUS a premium cut such as beef steaks, pork chops, ham steaks, etc. CSAs will NOT include kidney, tongue or oxtail.

Refer to the dates listed in the chart above. We also communicate the dates through our newsletter and deadline reminders. We also post dates on social, so be sure to find and "like" us: "@Peaceful Pastures"

Not to worry! Option 1) Notify us at least 48 hours in advance of your regular scheduled pick up and arrange to meet us on a different date or at one of the other markets within 2 weeks. Option 2) Come to the farm to pick up.
If you MISS your scheduled pickup: You can arrange, by calling or emailing us, to reschedule your pick up within 2 weeks of the original date by paying a $40 fee. The fee is waived if you pick up at the farm.
IMPORTANT!! If you cannot pick your CSA as scheduled and you do not arrange for pick up within the 14 days, it will result in forfeiture of that month’s installment.

In the rare event we are NOT coming due to hazardous road conditions, we will send an email AND will post on Facebook. If you are not already a fan of Peaceful Pastures on Facebook, PLEASE do so as it is the fastest form of information. The delivery will automatically defer to the following week. If in doubt, please call the farm early that morning 615-683-4291.

Meats produced by Peaceful Pastures are not certified organic, mainly because regulating agencies create too much red tape and raise our overhead and consumer prices. But the animals are kept pastured, with ACRES of room to roam. Their diets are pasture-based rather than grain based, which mimics the natural eating pattern of these animals and creates a healthier meat, much richer in Omega-3 fatty acids than supermarket fare. They are never given hormones or antibiotics, and pesticides are not used. The meat is naturally lean and DELICIOUS!! If you're looking for a healthy, humane, ethical, environmentally sustainable source for meat, this is it!

Just like a vegetable CSA, you are buying a share of the farm for a season, so you do not get to pick and choose what you get with any particular pick up, BUT you may add a retail order to any installment without paying a delivery fee.
